TWG is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Black Professionals in Tech Network (BPTN).
This collaboration is part of an initiative launched by BPTN, Canada’s largest network of Black tech professionals, to partner with the country’s leading companies in an effort to combat systemic racism. One of the goals of the initiative is to remove racist biases from hiring and promotion practices.
Other notable partners include: Shopify; Toronto-Dominion Bank; telecom giants Bell Canada and Rogers; social-media company Hootsuite; and clinical-care company PointClickCare.
Going forward, BPTN and its partners plan to work collectively to further build ties with Black communities to expand hiring networks and move for change.
An exciting collaboration with BPTN
TWG will be a participant in the 2-day BFUTR 2020 BPTN Global Summit.
Taking place on October 22nd and 23rd, it will be the largest virtual gathering of Black tech professionals globally. The event will include inspiring tech talks, networking with senior leaders across tech, and a career fair. Speakers for the summit are from an impressive range of companies, including: TD, Shopify, Canadian Tire, Black Angel Tech Fund, Hootsuite, and LinkedIn. TWG will have a booth at the summit so be sure to stop by.

Part of our commitment to Black Lives Matter

Silence is not an option. We stand in solidarity with our black colleagues. Building a more inclusive environment and industry is an essential focus for us here at TWG. Our collaboration with BPTN is a major part of our efforts to support our team and community in attaining the goal of eliminating systematic racism.
