Acclaimed Brooklyn-based designer Rebecca Atwood’s ask was to create a beautiful, modern digital experience that communicated her brand seamlessly and provided a harmonious experience between her ecommerce and rich storytelling content.
The new site also needed to work hard to convert curious visitors into loyal customers. A hefty slice of the brand’s traffic comes from Instagram, but many visitors were abandoning their baskets when browsing on mobile.
TWG built on Shopify designing a custom theme with interactive elements, and storytelling sections that highlight the creative process behind the products. Feedback from customers helped us hone in on what was special about the brand before we started building.
While hero images are a valuable tool for any e-commerce store, we went one step further and made the rich hero images fully shoppable, leading visitors effortlessly from consideration to purchase.
Built to meet industry best-practices, our custom mobile-responsive theme included social integrations, lush image assets and an impactful blog presence to support the client’s marketing activities.
The relaunched rebeccaatwood.com helped Rebecca Atwood and her team bring her amazing products to life online and increase sales. The shoppable hero images we created instantly decreased clicks to conversion — an important goal for this client. The impact was immediate, giving the client a 172% increase in page views. The new site also helped to support a 92% decrease in bounce rate.
TWG shined in terms of project management. As a small business owner, I have to drive everything. In this case, TWG ran the project and was upfront about calendars and material that were required from us. TWG made it easy to get through the process and moved quicker than many other web development projects.
